Let it be said, that many of us are living our lives in vein. We work for what will profit us, me, number one. Today examine yourself and see what your life looks like. Is your mind set on the next shiny car that is going to set in your garage or is it set on those who are starving, wondering where their next meal will come. I think if we were all starkly honest with ourselves, we would see that unless we just got done watching a promo video from the Christian Children’s Fund, our mind is pretty much locked on ME. Philippians 1:21 reminds us “…to live is Christ, to die is gain.” I hope for this vigor in my life! My life being at living testimony for Christ, because anything else would pointless to live for. May my ever-wondering eyes find rest on Christ alone. May my life be Christ-like, so that others would see Him… not me. Let it be said, I’m working toward the Kingdom.

Recently I have become the Youth and Worship Director of the First Baptist Church in Bethel Springs Tennessee. I am so glad God has moved and brought me here to this point in my walk with him. I never imagined that I would be so blessed to be here and am humbled by the fact that he wants to use me in this way. I have come to a point in my life were I have begun to feel like I’m a little bit of everything. I am a husband, a musician, a christian, a pastor, a drummer, an artist, a rocker, a philosopher, a geek, a freak, and a breath of fresh air. Praise be to God for his provision in our life, if it weren’t for him Jodi and I would be sipping sorrow out of the street gutters of Memphis.
